Austrian Citizenship may be granted to foreigners for exceptional achievements according to Sec. 10(6) of the Austrian Citizenship Act.
Exceptional achievements can be made in the areas of science, sports, arts or business (incl. philanthropy).
The process of obtaining citizenship through exceptional achievements typically takes between 12-36 months.
